Need new engine or rebuild in phoenix...HELP!

Hey guys i just found out today that the cause of my oil burning is due to a bad ring in one of my cylinders. The dealership said i need to install a new engine. Engine with 65k miles + labor is about $4800. How should i go about this? does anyone know of a good shop in phoenix that i can take it to for an engine rebuild? Where to go for a new engine? Any help would be appreciated!

Take a look at Import Parts Pro within this thread.

Essentially, you can get a quality rebuilt shortblock (minus heads) for $2600.

My guess is that labor is still going to be in the 1-2 grand range, but at least this way you will essentially have a nice rebuilt engine in your car vs. one with 65k.
