Worst Experience at DISCOVER INFINITI !!!!!!

A week ago I posted how I went to Discover Infiniti in Escondido, CA to have a my 3750 mile service done, but instead they damaged my car by hitting it on the lift post. Had to replace bumper, new paint job, and grill, etc...I got my car back the other day after being in the shop for a week and I want to express my view on the situation..First of all, these guys are such a jerks...Both the President of the company, Don Preston, and the service manager, Michael Bonnello....they were very rude with me during this time, didn't offer any sort of formal apologies for damaging my car, and to top it off no compensation of any kind. The service manager told me "why should we give you anything at all"..and said "we fixed your car at our expense" and "there would be no evidence of it being in the shop" and "that it's only a replacement no repair" etc..what kind of Infiniti service is that...and this was the same place where I got my car from too..I'm very disapponted and somewhat mad at how I was treated..I'm planning on writing to Infiniti Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau. People need to become aware of the type of fools that are out there running some of these establishments...Well I'm not taking my car to them anymore that's for sure..and if anyone else is in the San Diego area, be warned of this type of service...If you can avoid them at all cost.

I would hope that the car is better than before, although I suspect it's not. I don't blame you for being ticked. You'll get better service somewhere else.. Let us know what Infiniti says and BBB

Re: Worst Experience at DISCOVER INFINITI !!!!!!

I hear your pain ! I hate that dealership...every single time I've gone in there, I get treated like some ***** who can't afford to buy one of their cars...too bad I probably make three times the amount of their salaries. The only person there that has ever been nice to me was Mike Fair in service. That's the only one. And I didn't buy my car from them just because of the way they treated me. I live downtown, and work up in Escondido, so I really don't plan on getting my service done anywhere else unfortunately, but they should not want to get on my bad side.

I say you do whatever it takes to get something out of those ******...I've read every single post on this website, and not ONE good word about anything in the Escondido dealership.

PS. LOVIN' my new 6M coupe !

I'm not an Infiniti owner yet, but I've been a long time Honda owner. A couple S2000 owners along with myself had some complaints about a local dealership. We took it up with the regional service manager (can be contacted by some 1-800 # that Honda has in their owner's manual).

I'd definately report this type of treatment.

Ouch... Sorry for your troubles. I haven't been in for service there yet, but I had great experience with them buying our G35 Coupe. Larry Chesney was the salesman, and he delivered the car right into my garage, with a red bow on the windshield, where I surprised my wife with it for XAMAS.

Re: Worst Experience at DISCOVER INFINITI !!!!!!

Discover Infiniti Sucks!!! They lie. They lie, and oh yeah, and they lie. I went to Mission Viejo instead and boy what a difference. Placed an order and got my baby in ONE WEEK!!! I might have been lucky, but from what I understand Discover is not in good standing with Infiniti Corp. Their survey numbers are among the lowest in the country. Thus, they are on the bottom of the list as far as ordering, they get all of the left overs and with the G obviously that dosen't leave much. This is why they wouldn't take my check to place an order. Mission Viejo is rated among the highest in customer service. They took a deposit and BADA BING!!! I got exactly what I wanted in ONE WEEK!!! They don't lie or play games. They actually hooked me up. Aero package at cost, and the factory chrome 18s at cost. Can't make up my mind if I want the chrome. But it usually looks slick with a Black car. I think most luxury car dealers in SD County SUCK!!! Bad experience with San Diego BMW, good experience with Newport Beach BMW. Bad experience wih SD Benz, Great with Laguna Niguel... They suck in SD because of a lack of competition and they don't sell half as many cars for two reasons: 1. people who know go to OC an LA for a much better deal 2. the largest market in the country for luxury cars in just a few hours north. I love SD but we will always be dwarfed by the north.

I have a lot of clients in OC and LA so I'll just drop it off in Mission Viejo on my way up and take the free loaner. Not to dificult for me.

Oil changes and maintanence with less than 2 hours labor don't get you a loaner car anymore. New rules for Infiniti for 2003.

Re: Worst Experience at DISCOVER INFINITI !!!!!!

I didn't mean it that way.. just didn't want you to be in a rush to see a client, and be refused a loaner. I was taken off guard myself.. I was told when I bought the car that all warranty repairs got a loaner, but they no longer gave loaners for oil changes. Sounded acceptable to me. Then when I had to have my stereo replaced because the CD jammed, I was told that, since it was less than a 2 hour job, no loaner for me. Kinda puts a kink in the day to have to wait for your car, or deal with courtesy shuttles. My initial good experience at Discover has been souring lately. At least when they said it was a 45 minute job, they were right.. of course, "a few more minutes to wash the car and bring it around" stretched into 20.

I've heard that AJ-USA does good work, up off Mira Mesa. Anybody have any experience with them? I'd rather go to a good local shop for routine maintanence than deal with a service dept. that may make me wish I'd never bought an Infiniti.

Hi,

Never could get anybody to help me at your dealership. I kept calling for a order on a 6m sedan, nobody returned my calls or emails. bought my G35 at Miller because they called me and emailed me with progress reports.
