Weekend Cruise (So Cali)
Weekend Cruise (So Cali)
For the locals where do you guys go on the weekends? Like cruise to or hang out at? Mid days or nights... Any place inpaticular?
On Sat nights I always take a cruise to Los Angels to go for a drive at around 11ish to 12 midnight. Sunset is always packed and I love the scenery... I normally just cruise both ways only once because the strip is so huge and after that I just go back home... When I go home I go through the PCH sometimes and when I feel like punching it that night I take the 101 home... On the day time I like to go cruise around Venice beach and Santa Monica, probably go to target, circuit city, best buy, or any place that has to do with electronics...lol On Sunday's I just get really lazy and just stay home but down to do anything and go places to if I knew where 2 go on a Sunday... Perhaps BBQ and stuff..

sounds cool.. I usually work in the morning on weekends, then when the night comes..
1) Take a cruise through the malibu canyons (las virgines)
2) cruise down sunset or wilshire blvd. Usually stop somewhere for dining
3) during afternoons, I will also take a cruise down ventura and head towards electronic places too lol, usually fry's.
man imagine if driving didn't cost gas and mileage, I'd cruise till wherever the road takes me

You might wanna think twice about cruising Sunset blvd. It's packed with cops, and I mean packed, like at every corner. They'll stop you for anything, no license plate, front window tinting, etc.
Unless your car look suspicious, then Cruise On.

Re: Weekend Cruise (So Cali)
It was on the news. There is a team of cops tracking all the license plates down. They enter them in the computer. If it shows up that you have been down the strip twice, you get a ticket of cruising.

hmm.. I don't have a front license plate and 10 percent tinted windows and have been down sunset for the last past 9 Saturday night's of cruising with friends and haven't gotten stopped... I'll probably stop cruising if I ever get stopped though...

I'm looking forward to driving along San Angelas Crest, but since I'm in the OC 'burbs I tend to go south. There's a great inner-city wilderness, Santiago Canyon Road, that's a nice short drive right off the 55 freeway. For a full day trip, I go down to Julian via the 15 and either the 79 or 76 past Mt. Palomar, both nice windy roads with plenty of turnouts for the slower folks. Takes two hours to get there. If you haven't been, check out the Julian websites. Nice little town.

Not yet Wicked, and probably not until September. Waaaahhh!
Until then, I have my dreams... luckily I'm pretty good at fantasizing hahaha.
And in the meantime, if anyone wants to take me for a ride in their G.....
not that I'm a car-***** of course, but I do bake a nice bundt cake!

Hey Shelley,
I'm sure Wicked will take you for a ride. He was telling us stories at the last meet on how he's been picking up women on the highway with his ride.
Just kidding, Wicked! Women love the car - my female co-workers all wanna go to lunch now in my car. BTW, are you going to the Torrance meet if it happens? It'd be cool to meet up again with you and the other people from the Valley Meet.

only the female co-workers want a ride? What's with the guys? Too afraid of seeming uncool or do you work with a bunch of guys who don't appreciate cars?!? Or maybe it's just a guy thing.

awww, a jealous fiancee! Too bad. Looks like I won't be contributing to your caloric intake.
I never understood jealous women. I always figured if a guy was going to stray he was going to stray and there was nothing I could do about it. And most of the time, if he DID stray, it would work out in my favor because he'd be reminded of how great I am! heheheh
