PS2/TV TUNER UPGRADE TO NAV UNIT IS A REALITY!
I just installed a PS2 and a TV tuner to my "G"!
It is no longer a dream but a reality!
It took months of research but it is now working.
Here's how to get one hooked up to your "G".
1) Order the converter from www.avelectronic.com (ask for SAM) - Price = $495.00 + Shipping
2) Purchase a PS2 or DVD Player of your choice
(PS2's are going for $178.00 + Tax)
3) Labor charge at your local installer GoodGuys, BestBuy, or local stereo and alarm shop should be around ($60.00/per hour - avg of 5 hours to install)
4) Make sure to purchase a power 12 Volt Converter for the PS2...It won't stick into your cigarette lighter with out it.
I've only had this toy for "48" hours and man the reaction it gets from people on the streets...People go "holy $hiT he's watching a movie in there or watching tv"! It's a feeling like no other! The guy with the Porsche/Ferrari/Benz/BMW may have the "BLING BLING" to afford a car like that...but does he have a sweet a$$ "G" with a "mobile" entertainment system which also includes SAT RADIO TOO?
