HAWAII LABOR DAY CRUISE/BBQ

Anyone up for a picnic on the Sunday of the Labor day weekend?

Was thinking of going on a cruise, then ending it with a BBQ. Maybe starting the cruise at 11am and ending around 5pm.

Re: HAWAII LABOR DAY CRUISE/BBQ

A Labor Day cruise might be nice. But if I may add a suggestion, might be good to draw out a map on the route. I did not go on the cruise, but from what I heard, some got lost. Anyhow, a map of the route would be good and maybe with rough times on where we will hit what check points. Then if anyone gets lost or needs to join us later, they will have a rough idea of where we will be. Also, set up a leader so that everyone can follow each other as well as maybe exchange our cell numbers.

Just my $0.02.

Let us know whats the plan as time goes on.

Another suggestion is to use the FRS radios. Tell everyone to bring them (and extras if they have - put it in all posts and flyers). It really helps in a large cruise. The last cruise I was on had 16 S2000's, 6 NSX's and 3 RSX's. The radios were extremely handy in keeping the whole pack together. Also, the chat's on the radios while driving were entertaining too, just ask krazyduece.

Yup, I have to say, that was the best cruise I went on. We kept the whole pack together (all 25 cars) almost all the way. Going thru Waikiki it looked like we were having a parade!!! Great suggestion Rick!!

Who has nextel? we can use the two-way.

Where do you want to start the cruise off, in town or somewhere like Mililani townsquare, and from there go around the island to the end destination for the BBQ.

Depending on how many people will show up for the BBQ. I can try and reserve the Lanai/BBQ area at Imperial Plaza. It includes the BBQ grills, kitchen, jacuzzi, pool, and sauna. Parking is limited to street parking.
