BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
*** HIGH GAS PRICES & DMV FEES ***

To my CA PEEPS,

Is it just me or is it getting really expensive to fill up our "G's" with PREMIUM UNLEADED? I saw prices at $2.55 per gallon in the SOMA, SUNSET, and DOWNTOWN!

I just got my DMV Renweal due in November. I originally paid like $450.00 or so when the car was new.
*** $791.00 *** to renew my stickers! WHAT THE F!

Let's get rid of "DAVIS"! PUT IN ARNOLD damn it!

Check gasbuddy.com for the best prices. In the Rowland Heights/Industry area, you cannot beat Costco's gas prices!

As for Davis, we had our chance last year - let's not blow this one. I don't my pocket book (or my kid's school budget) can take many more hits.

Don't roll without your sticker or an expired one, you have better chance taking off your rear license plate and putting on your temporary sticker back on the front windshield.

Depending on the cop, they can tow and impound your car. Getting your car out of the impound will cost you about $120 a day. Even if your car is in the pound for 10minutes, they consider that 1 day.

Re: *** HIGH GAS PRICES & DMV FEES ***

Hi:

I am not looking forward to the hike in license fees. However, it is not Davis that did it. It was the California Voters who kept voting in initiatives that mandate State spending. In Nov of '02 the voting public required mandatory after school programs for just about every kid in Calif. That initiative alone cost millions of dollars per year. All of the money to come directly out of the General Fund. The Calif voters are busy blaming Davis for our own stupid voting!

BTW when I bought my 6mt coupe in June, the license fee was $278. I would expect that to nearly tripple under the restored license fee structure.

What's up with the gas? It climbed about $0.40/gal in a week!

What's the excuse this time? The war in Iraq is over.

Just what we need - Arnold and a return to the Pete Wilson mafia. That would surely put a nail the coffin for California.

Re: *** HIGH GAS PRICES & DMV FEES ***

LA Times ran an article today that stated that no money has been spent on the after school initiative and perhaps none would be spent until at least 2007.

Mafia...hah....keep showing how Dems in this state either fail to apply all pertinent facts or just outright make up bs.

Pertinent fact here is that state revenue increased 25% since Davis took office, but spending increased 40%.

Also, if one is going to use the argument that since so much money is locked up its not Davis' fault for the budget problems, please know exactly what those numbers are. It makes one seem foolish when one makes an argument that one cannot substatiate in fact, even though the facts exist.

In this case, appx 50% of the budget is locked up. 40% of the budget must be spent on education and appx 10% more is permanently allocated to other budget items. Actually it is more than that due to long term spending programs, but 50% is the amount that voters are responsible for.

Re: *** HIGH GAS PRICES & DMV FEES ***

Well here's my thought...Tags for plates shouldn't cost more than your car payments! $800.00 is "A LOT OF $$$". I too am thinking about a commuter car...Damn It..sold my old 90 Legend to my uncle for $4,000.00 a year ago...should've kept it even though it had problems...OH WELL!
We should do a "GAS PRICE PROTEST"...I haven't taken MUNI since I was 16!
Maybe it's time todo that again...Think about it...$2.55/gallon = $1.00 x 2 (mcdonald dollar menu) + tax is a better deal..breakfast/lunch instead of GAS or give up the Grande Hazlenut Latte in the mornings for $3.15?
