ok, time has come for me to finally get some new 20" wheels. i have been looking and looking and looking for countless hours. originally i was looking to spend maybe $3000. After making several calls to inquire about volk, maya, and work wheels, i see myself spending more than $4000. i love my car, but ehh.

i have a black 2006 coupe w/ blk interior and limo tint. i have been looking for a black wheel with polish/chrome lip.

one wheel that caught my eye was the WORK VS-KF in "burning black." however, they only come in 19", are not black, and they cost a pretty penny.

i've run into wheels by the name NAD, model: NAD-6. they have 4" rear lip, and 2.5" fron lip. you have to see them to believe it! the 1st 2 pics are work 19", and the last 3 are the NAD's. i can get a them shipped w/ tires for $2500. what do you think?!?

 

NAD6 has ****ty offsets, Work has excellent quality. I had 2 sets of VS-KF's and i never had a problem with the quality of it.

I assume a bad offset reference would mean that the wheels will stick out too far on the sides. You would get that, ummm, whats the word????? Ghetto look. Double check any wheels you are looking at for the offset to be sure that the tuck under the body panels. Correct offset is driven by the size of the rim in diameter as well as the width of the rim.

Generally speaking coupes don't have a problem getting staggered set ups from one piece cast wheels like NAD. Having said that here is the what I recommend based on the sizes you listed above.

front 20x8.5 +15 to +20 offset with 245/35/20
rear 20x9.5 +20 to +25 offset with 275/30/20

That set up will give you a nice flush look all around without having to do any fender rolling. The wheel itself looks good design wise, but be forewarned that one piece cast 20" wheels are a bit heavy. So if looks is what you're after and don't care about performance, then this is a good buy IMO.

 

I have no idea what you mean with your diameter reference?
Offset is simply the hub face to barrel centerline distance....end of story.

 

they're actually 20X8.5 +35 and 20X10 +40

i spoke to the guy, and he sys he's sold several w/o a problem

what do you recommend for tire size? i plan on tucking both fron and back. is nitto 555 good?

 

they def don't look like 2500 rims, looks good

 

save your money for the Work Wheels.

 

i would, but my car is unusable until i get new wheels/tires. they told me that wait for WORK wheels is 6-8 weeks. extra wait time and $$$ isn't a good combo for me.

 

it's all up to you man. i'm just giving advice how you actually save money in the long run purchasing quality stuff from the get go.

 

How about going for cheap wheels??

seriously, I dont see why people get generic wheels for when they have a 20-30k+ car. Everyone wants high quality for cheap but thats not going to happen. You can get those wheels but dont regret it if it happens to bend/crack easily from daily or track usage.

Do it right the first time and you wont be sorry.

awe come on guy's give him a break. They look good and if it does get bent, they're cheap enough to just go out and buy a replacement without feeling like you just got kicked in the nuts. Not to mention he needs them ASAP, I've been there and waiting 4 months for wheels is not cool, especially considering you need to pay upfront.
