Spinning Rims!

I was just wondering if anyone has spinning rims on their G. I saw one that had Davin's but am wondering if there is anyone out there who has them, and has pics

Re: Spinning Rims!

I just saw one on an Altima and caused my head to "spin" and almost threw up at its sheer ugliness.

I know taste is very subjective but I really hope I do not see one on a G (or any decent-high end car).

Re: Spinning Rims!

If one were to get the original sprewel's, made by .... i don't remember, that would be good looking! (cost about 10-15 Grand a wheel)
These cheep spinner kit wheels would look autrocious!

Re: Spinning Rims!

Spinners sorta look cool on Navi’s, H2’s, Escalade’s and other SUV’s, but they just don’t look good on a G. Plus they will add a lot of unsprung weight and slow you down.

Re: Spinning Rims!

Also if you have the spinner/pinwheel run in reverse while the rims are moving forward and car is hitting 88MPH, you just *might* go back in time. If you do, you might have trouble finding unleaded premium gas to get back to the future..... I thought about it and I don't think it's worth getting spinning rims if I do a lot of freeway driving cuz I like driving over 88MPH there.

Besides, I think they are just a fad that will play itself out after time (like 2 years). Kinda like my 2 pairs of MC hammer pants in my closet that are just waiting for me to put it back on with my Zoot suit. It would suck to be stuck with them and no one wants to buy them from you when they become "played out" as I eloquently put it =P

- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-

Re: Spinning Rims!

after you get the spinning rims, you should put some hydraulics on your ride, lower it, stretch the tires out and put 500,000 watts of bass on that baby eh?

Re: Spinning Rims!

I'd only consider them if they were able to keep that damn break dust off the front rims. Naaa! The break dust is better looking than spinners.

Re: Spinning Rims!

I saw a G35c with spinning wheels this past Saturday night. It looked really out of place on the car from what I could tell, but it was also after 12am, so maybe in sunlight I might think different.

I think this kind of upgrade works a lot better on trucks than cars.

Re: Spinning Rims!

i've only seen spinners on suvs (escalades and expeditions especially) and a lowered purple aurora w/ whitewall tires. but then again, i hardly see any Gs here. so a G + spinners would be pretty rare for me to see.
