$125 each to have my wheels touched up?

WTF is the deal with that? I called a couple of businesses who do wheel restos, and they both told me $100-$125 per wheel to have the paint touched up. Mind you, they don't strip the whole wheel and completely redo it, they just touch up the paint chips.

One guy explained that the paint that Infiniti uses is about $250/qt and only comes from Italy.

Is this really the case, or are they trying to charge the Infiniti Tax (which is much like the Corvette Tax that I became accustomed to)?

I thought I had seen a thread about some touch up paint from Walmart that matched, but a search would not uncover it.

My wheel guy told me that the exact match pait is about $250 a quart so he uses another brand that is only about $100 a quart and matches close enough that you can't tell.

I paid $100 to have my stock wheel fixed and repainted after I curbed it. He did it with the wheel and tire on the car in about 30 minutes.
