TPMS Malfunction 2 Days Later?
Hey guys, I just bought a brand new 2006 G Coupe in a 6MT. I only had the car for 2 days now and only put on about 300 miles on her. I was driving home last night and the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) malfunctioned on me and now I have to bring it back to the service department to have it fixed. I think that its weird that it would fault on me so soon after I just bought the car! I'm kind of worried now. I was just wondering if any of you guys have had similar problems? If you brought it back to your service dept how long does it take for them to fix the TPMS? Thanks in advance for the info guys!

It is nothing abnormal, these tire pressure monitoring systems in all cars are very tricky, regardless of the cars they are in. Make your sure tires are finlated to 35mpsi while cold (so when you're driving, they'll be running at 39psi which is the standard +4PSI head ahd pressure difference.
If this still does not solve the problem, you can look through the manual or online and see if you can find a way to reset the tire pressure monitor and that could solve your problem.
My mom's S500 gives her tire pressures annoyances randomly....said she had a flat tire but her whip was driving just fine and dandy. I filled the tire pressures up to the recommended rating of like 32psi all around (they were at 28 - 30psi all around, not a big difference). Anyways, I started the car and it still inissted it had a flat, but I looked through the manual and applied the technique to reset the tire pressure monitoring system and Voila, it would perfectly.
It would be smart to check and see if our G's Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems can be reset at home in an easy way...it should get rid of a lot of the TPMS problems that 04+ Coupe drivers are driving. I highly doubt you can do it yourself though.

Alright I filled my cold tires back up to the factory spec of 35psi and drove the car around a bit to see if it would reset. No dice...so I guess I will have to bring it back to the infiniti service dealer unless there is a forum posting on how to do it yourself?
