Hub rings for M45 rims?

Just mounted my new M45 19" rims on my G35 sedan. I used 5mm Eibach spacers which do not have hub rings. Do I need them & where do I find some for this combination? The inside of the M45 wheel hub is slanted so the hub ring surface will have to be beveled. All the ones I have seen have a square profile. Any suggestions out there?

I have a few hundred miles on them without any vibration or problems, but rather safe than sorry.

your hub protrudes past the 5mm spacer and the wheel's center is stilling
on it, right? i wouldn't worry about it unless you're going to auto-x or
race on them. i would be more concerned of the studs breaking if that's
the case.

make sure you use a torque wrench and use no more than 90lbs/in.

I would get hub rings just in case... better safe than sorry.

You can get hubcentric spacers from here:

The fronts seem to extend past the spacer without problem but the rears only extend about 3 mm past the spacer. With the bevel on the inside of the wheel, I am pretty sure that it does not make contact. I will try to take some pictures this weekend to better show the problem.

If it does not make contact, you have the risk of losing your wheel(s) and either cracking or breaking your hub and/or studs. I have seen many pictures of this and heard too many horror stories. Just buy that hubcentric 5mm spacer from the link I posted. IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK!!

Yeah the Eibach spacers that I used look exactly the same as the Ichiba ones. But the 5 mm spacers do not have the extended "flange" like the 15, 20 & 25 mm ones, so what does the centering?

That you'd have to ask that vendor. Just PM your question to that vendor on my350z.

Hi,

You don't have to use hub ring for 5MM due to your original hub ring is good enough to hold your rims.

You won't get any vibration or problems, don't worry.

Big size spacers covered your original hub ring, that's why 15MM, 20MM and 25MM have the hub ring. 5MM don't need any hub rings.

cool. i think you're fine. not so concerned about it being hubcentric
as these wheels are lugcentric by design anyways. as long as youre not
getting vibration you're fine. the centering rings are there to aid
mounting the wheel onto the hub flat and straight.

now i would suggest you not race with it though at auto-x or roadcourse
as the there is less thread the lugs are holding onto on the stud; unless
you get longer studs to accomondate.

Yes, I got the extended studs so all should be fine. No racing or tracking in my plans.
