18x8.5 +40 fit on Coupe?

I am going to be trading in my 99' I30 for a '04 G35 Coupe 6MT in November-December. I currently have volk racing CE28n's (18x8.5 +40mm offset) on my I30. Being that the bolt pattern is the same, will the offset be ok considering the stock coupe has a +30 offset? Will there be any problems with handling, etc? Any opinions, recommendations are welcome.

You'll have to check to see if they'll fit over the Brembos.

I currently have a 12.9" brembo big brake kit on my I30, considering they fit now, is it safe to assume they will fit over the coupe brembos? Will the offset be ok? +40mm vs. +30mm?

It should fit ok looking at the offsets and you used to have a big brake upgrade..

I've got 8.5" wide +38 and they fit just fine, so +40 will too, although you may want a spacer to push it out a little. The outer face of the wheels should stick in 4mm closer than stock 8" wheels, and 16mm closer to the strut housing on the inner side.
