Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

I just got back from hawaii. I'll try to get them installed this weekend. i'll let you know how they work out. I think I got the kits delivered already. I just came home with a UPS slip saying I have a package and my neighbor signed for them. It's to late to knock on the door to get them.

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

FYI - the rear camber is adjustable from the factory. My camber was -2.33 from the factory and was adjusted to -.50 for the cost of an alignment only.

Juice, you are one of the lucky ones. My alignment shop said they can't get it to spec with with the stock adjuster washer.

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

Just finished installing and aligning my wheels.

Camber bar works great. The craftsmanship on the camber bar is superb.
Here is my NEW problem. When I asked to set the camber to -1 my left rear could not get the toe to spec. My rights was perfect. Cause of the toe couldn't get into spec, I had to find a happy medium and had to settle with -1.9 degrees in the rear. I really wanted 1.3ish.

I'm still trying to figure out why the left rear is like that. I'm guessing it is a bit lower than rights. As mentioned on the board, people that have installed the eibach mentioned the left rear is lower than the right.

PS. I forgot to add that my camber was -2.5 before.
Edited by wreck on 10/08/03 02:29 PM.

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

Yah I got them from lsdunique. Once I realized I couldn't jack up the car safely and work under my car, I went to a local tire shop (been going there for over 10 years) and had them do it. The charged me $95 with alignment. It took them about 1.5. It's cool watching the numbers change on the computer screen when they made the camber and toe adjustent. It was frustrating to see my left rear toe out of spec when the camber was set to how I wanted it.

They worked perfectly. They look good too.

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

so since you can't get the left rear to spec, does this mean that you need the traction kit as well?

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

I got the camber to spec just not the toe (left rear only). I'm not sure if I'm going to spend another $200 on the traction kit. I'm still trying to understand how the traction kit will fix the toe.

Re: Stillen's Rear Camber Adjusters

Finally got my cam kit instgalled (LSDunique?). The specs for the rear are 1.5. The fronts are off, but there are no kits available. The car handles much bette and it seems quieter - maybe the camber made the wheels ride odd and thus produce more noise or it could be my imagination.

Either way, great combo - Eibachs and Cam kit.
