Could it just be dirt? I bought a "lug nut" brush just to clean out in the indentations for the lug nuts. It helps.

Does anyone know if these OEM's are supposed to be finished in the lug nut holes? I have these type of wheels:

The discoloration is a dullness in the finish in the area surrounding the lug nuts. These are new, I haven't messed with them
