I am in the final stages of picking my next set of wheels for my 06 Athens Blue 6MT coupe. I am torn between black Work VS-XXs and mercury silver Volk SF Challenges. Sorry I don't have any pix available at the moment to post but will try to post some later. My question is simple. Which would you get and why. Your opinions will be very helpful in making my final decision. Thanks!

 

Sf challenges if you plan to upgrade brakes. it sucks when you can't see the sick calipers because of mesh. however, if you aint gonna get bbk, then VS-XX is fine. personally, i'd run the SF's because they're a lot easier to clean. also, they're forged outter. the aggressiveness of the SF's also hit the spot. VS-XX is beautiful. don't get me wrong. it's just the SF's look nicer

 

Neither Get The VOLK GTM I Did........

 

Both are beautiful wheels... basically what sen jen said about the wheels... the sf-challenge is sportier and will show off a BBK more. VS-XX is classier, BBK is still easily seen, but not showcased... also, probably more lip with the volks due to the center design compared with the works.

My vote is for the VS-XX, I like the classier wheel and the BBK will still show through.

 

ooo... your thinking about black works on athens blue... I didnt see that. This will look fine as long as you are going to do lots your car.

Have you considered volk sf-winnings? Its a sportier mesh that is a little more open -less spokes.

 

Out of those two I would do the volks.

 

I thought that the poll would be a little bit more even but it looks like the Volks are pulling ahead.

Hexx, either wheel would be an excellent choice. I'd tend to lean towards the Challenges. Hook it up and let's see some pics soon.

 

Either way, I will have them mounted in the next couple of weeks. I just have to pick one or the other. Pix will definitely follow.

 

Keep in mind...unless you know someone who has the VS-XX's in stock, you will be waiting longer than a couple of weeks-try closer to 4-6 weeks

That being said, the challenges would look better on an Athens Blue G

hexx what happend to the red G?? Anyways im gunna have to go against the crowd and sen_jen here and say works hands down. Not bashing on challanges (cause there sick also) but the works would look better on AB, especially black..........half the site has the challanges, i say go with the works with aggressive offsets

truplay8-The red G is history. Totalled out. I am definitely leaning towards the VS-XX at this point just cuz I haven't seen many around. At the HB meet last month, every other car there had Challenges. They look so sweet though but I don't really want something that everyone already has. Well, we will see . . . .

 

since you don't have bbk, i'd also get the VS-XX. there are tons here in the islands though. my good friend is one of Work Wheels favorite dealers. he just cleaned out their inventory, lol!!

i gotta have a forged wheel though.
