Can I do 2 snow tires safely?

I have the 17" and was wondering about the need for snows.

Could I just put 2 snows on the rear, leaving the stock all seasons on the front?
(of course I know I "can"...the question is more about affecting the handling negatively, etc.)

Thanks!

yes you could do it but i would not recomend it. the car handles well in the snow it just doent do good at accelerating on the snow. You should be ok but be carfull

Now, I don't live in the snowy regions, but I'd think you'd want snow tires on the front as well.. for handling and braking. The front brakes do most of the work, and in the snow, you're going to want snow tires there as well. From a safety standpoint, stopping is more important than going.

Ryoken is absolutely right, the fronts are MUCH more important than rears... i think you should be just fine on all-seasons, just take it easy this winter, Keep in mind that it doesnt snow every day.
Oh and watch out for black ice... heh no tires would help you with that, unless you have chains

one other word of advise when u are starting out form a stop some times it helps to turn the VDC off but turn it back one once u get going. Some times i have found that i cant get enoguh power when i am on ice with the VDC on but with it off i can. but turn it back once u get rolling cuz it can save you on the slick stuff. trust me
