I have the same wheels. They are ASA KA3's. I got 17x7.5 5-114 ET35 KA3778-B and paid about $150 ea last year.

Re: My new snow shoes

The rims are 17x7.5 ASA KA3's. I went with the Pirelli 210's 225/50 front and 225/55 rear. I got the set up from Luke at Tirerack for 1360. It took about an hour to install. There aren't too many 17inch rims to choose from that fit over the Brembos. I chose these over the Fox 5's. I just thought they looked better. The Mille Miglia's are also a good choice.

Re: My new snow shoes

Going with 17's have a couple of advantages. First going with a thinner tire on the 17's has better snow traction. Second you have a higher profile or thicker sidewall to give you less potential damage to the rims

Re: My new snow shoes

I think if you change "thinner" from 2 posts up to "narrower," and "thicker" from 1 post up to "taller," then it will become clear.
