Anyone run 275/40/18 on the stock 18" Rims in the rears?

I don't think it matters at all for a daily driver or even a mild racer, but I want to drop down in size because I can tell it handles with more tire give/sway at high speed cornering and need concrete info to take them to get them to change mine out. They also told me most of the Porsche rally racers they supply in a local club do the same thing and go 3 sizes up for a better contact area and better bite. I don't agree with it but I'm no expert.
How's about using this calculator:

Answer is the same!

I really don't have time for all this research, you can really do it yourself, but ALL tire makers are consistant.

This is the Industry talking, and IMO, we should listen. When mounting tires on incorrect equipment all your rights and warranty associated with that tire go away.

I'm now getting off my soapbox. It's your car and you're entitled to do anything with it you please. Me, I'm concerned with performance AND safty. That's why I'm running the 245/275 combo on Nismo 8.5" and 9.5" wheels. The wheels fit the car properly, The tires fit the wheels properly, and with my VRT STB my coupe handles GREAT. Like a slot car.

Big pics, but I think it will show that the tire combo I have is just about perfect for the rim width. I know i'm happy as a pig in $hit! LOL

Thanks Lou the Nitto size and specs chart will work perfect. I'll take it in and see what they say. Are the '03 sports package 6spd coupes with the Brembos the same as all the others in relation to rim width?

Yes. I have a 6MT '03. I sold my wheels and tires a couple of years ago to a 350Z owner.
