i love my G but i just wanted to take it to a whole other level. and sorry 55k is about my limit. The Cayman is worth it. it depends on the person obviously but it's 1000lbs lighter so the power to weight ratio is close to the same as the G if not better.don't hate shyrock!
YES I know what I'm talking about...I have no reason to hate when I know from experience that the 996 is a better car. If that's what you want, so be it; don't let my OPINION get you all riled up. I wasn't being nasty, but for some reason you felt you needed to get defensive.

With that...the Cayman is basically a coupe boxster that tries to look like a carrera ("whole other level" = PO[se]RSCHE). The Cayman gets no respect by true Porsche enthusiasts! Your comments hint to me that you've prolly never driven a carrera and haven't done your homework or you would know what I was referring to.

FYI, you can get an 02 C4S for under 60k, so you can get a 996 in your price range.

I'm done...if I wanted to discuss Porsche's I would go to their forums....sorry!

Back to the rims...the front's will likely require a small spacer with the +28 offset. Go with a hubcentric 3mm spacer. You don't want to scratch those calipers!

first of all shyrock, you brought up the whole porsche conversation. all i did was mention that i got the Cayman. i could care less on your opinion. i don't need to drive a 996 to know what i like or whats better. who really cares. this isn't a competition for whoever has the best flippin car. after all, it's a car. i just try to figure out the best way to enjoy my hour commute each morning. for me, the cayman was more fun to drive than the G. who are you to say anyhow that the Cayman gets no repect from Porsche enthusiasts? what are the president of a club that all porsche owner's belong too? give me a break. get a life!

all that matters is that you enjoy what you buy...geez, I can't express my view on a car without being called names...no point arguing on something like this.

BTW..how did you know that I was the President?

Enjoy!!!!
