Will this tires size work?

I am looking at getting new tires as I need it. I am set on getting goodyear eagle F1-GS-D3. I was suggest in the past by users to get 225/55 if I want to say with stock rims and I do want to say with stock rims. Now the thing is I can't find it in 225/55 but I did get a solid offer for them in 225/50. They said it will work. Now what I want to know is will it actually work and if it does will there be any issues other than the speedo being off a by around 1mph? Thank you.

hmm.. I think you could get away with it. Call up a Costco Tire center and ask them. The have extremely informative ppl working there. They will tell you straight up what you can get away with

It will work perfectly fine, FYI no speedo from factory is 100% correct especially at high speeds with stock wheel/tire. So even that 1% change is not going to do anything.
