thnx...the only reason i started this thread was because the guy @ ewheelz.com said that the nitto's are new and that they were for lowered cars and that the toyo was going to discountinue the tr1's.

Thanks...well im running T1R's and love them...if you want a prfessional help...PM sen_jen he knows lots and lots about tires and wheels

But if the Nittos are the ones for negative camber...the Nittos have a hard outter compound so the inner part of the tire will last longer...and they are not directional so you can rotate your tires...as where as you cannot with the T1Rs cause they are directional (you can flip the tires..but i hear its bad..i deno...never tried it)

The Neo-Gen is a specially made tire from Nitto that is specifically made for cars with alot of negative camber. If you're lowered more than an inch, then the Nitto's will last longer than the Toyo's. My friend has a slammed integra and has bought 3 sets of neo gens for his car (he's a wheel ***** and has a set on all 3 rims) and he loves em.

I am running on Toyo right now and I really love those.
They stick like glue in both dry and wet.

Compare to Nitto, i think Toyo T1R is better plus it will last bit longer. However my next sets of tires will be either Falken or Kumho.

Are u saying the toyo's will last longer than the nitto's? Do you have personal experience with that because the Nitto's are less of a performance tire and thus should last longer than the t1rs

I've heard that because of the tread pattern and being a directiona tire the T1R, after a few thousands miles start to get nosier although they are a very good performing tire. I personally had good experiences with the Nitto NT 555 overall. May not quite be the performance tire of the T1R but ride and noise seems to be very good. I was going to try the Neogens (I'm getting a camber kit) because the inner tread I was told has a silica mix to make the tire last longer, but for a few $$ more I bought my second set of 555. BTW, my first set of the 555 lasted me over 45K miles on an Acura TL.
