Change tires...TPMS Question???
Change tires...TPMS Question???
So I changed my 19's for winter tires, 17's. There is no TPMS in the 17 so i know the light would come one but it never has, and after 3 days it still does not come on? Im not complaining but I am wondering why it has not come on? Could it be broken or not working? Also at high speeds the car vibrates, i called discount and they told they might need to rebalance the wheels again. Anyways I was wondering if anyone elase had this issue.
Thanks.
Thanks.
my friend changed his wheels and couldnt use the tpms. he didnt have the light go on (thankfully) until something happened..lol i forgot..but he did something stupid while driving..and the light went on..haha..then he was pissed! lol
youre tpms is probably fine. dont complain

Others have reported that the light comes on after a period of driving. In this case, you don't have the sensors installed. I read a post that if you have a sensor near the car, then it will trigger the light because it's a wireless device. I don't think you should have a problem.
The TPS light should only come on after 30-45 mins of driving if they are not installed on your new set of wheels. It's not a big deal running on 17-18" wheels cause you'll probably notice something wrong before you do serious damage to the wheels/tires if you had a flat. For 19"+ wheels, you probably won't notice a flat due to the low profile side walls. Your best bet is to do a quick check on the tires before hopping in.
