I think people make too big of a deal about high end wheels. I won't deny a 4K set of wheels probably look better than a 2K set but is it enough to make a big difference. People say forged multipiece wheels are lighter and stronger. They are half right. They are lighter. As for stronger...I hang around wheel shops. It's the forged multipiece wheels that come in bent and broken. They are lighter folks. Logically, lighter usually means easier to bend. Their construction is stronger and it won't break into pieces but they can be bent. I have a set of Maya's on my Lexus and a set of Sevas on my G35. The Maya's have peeling chrome around the hub area, curb rash and rust around the rivets in the barrel. When it rains water gathers in the barrel causing wheel vibration. High end wheels usually require more polishing and waxing and still, eventually they have to be refurbished.
I have curbed the Sevas twice...hard. Not a scratch on them. Waxed en once and they look beautiful. If you choose carefully, one piece cast are the best buy. Multipiece forged wheels are high maintenance and are meant for racing.
I do love my Maya's though. I wouldn't give away the Sevas either.

I agree.... But guys and expensive wheels are like women and expensive purses. Can't really explain why.... We just need them. LOL
