I had a bad experience with my car on a hoist once. I had a 340 Duster that I had put headers on in the driveway. I drove to the muffler shop to have a custom exhaust mated up to it. Well this dude had my car on the hoist working with his torches, I told him to watch how close he was to the floorboards and the next thing I knew my poor car wis filled with smoke. I screamed at the guy and I hit the hoist controls immeadiately and brought my car down. The dork caught the underpadding on fire . I had to rip back the carpet and dump a few pais of water on it. I finshed the exhaust elsewhere and they paid for the underpad carpeting and cleaning repairs. I'm just glad I noticed it when I did.
