Veers to the Left

Veers to the Left
Hey guys,
I have a 2003 6MT coupe. I recently put on the winter setup (Michellin Alpin PA2) for the Canadian weather. This is the first time I've ever driven the G in the snow. I've noticed that when I start the car moving in first that it may slip and the VDC turns on as indicated by the "slip" light on the dash. However, about 30% of the time that it slips the car would start veering to the LEFT and then quickly correct itself. It never veers to the right. Anyone have any ideas on why this might be? Thanks.
