Has anyone replaced their stock pads and rotors with aftermarket? Mine are surely near the end of their life, and I'd like to avoid the outrageous charges the dealer will certainly try to hit me with for OEM replacement. I'm looking for options on new pads and rotors that will work with my 03' sedan, any input is appreciated.

R1 Concepts sells a set of drilled and slotted rotors on ebay that are very good quality rotors for $299, I bought and set and installed them about 2 months ago and have had no problem since. If you change your rotors make sure you have new pads for the new rotors

How difficult was it to replace the rotors?

I installed EBC Greenstuff brake pads (NO MORE DUST!) on my G35c. See this thread and tutorial

The only thing that is hard about changing rotors is that you have to take the calipers off, there are 2 bolts that hold each caliper on, once those are off the whole caliper comes off. Then you just pull the rotor off, but make sure that when you are doing the rear that you have the e brake off or they won't come off. But it is really easy and it says you an a$$ load of money
Or, since you are taking off the calliper while you are at it, change it to the wilwoods. This gives you a better braking distance and longer lasting rotors. The wilwoods actually fit on STOCK 17s! wow huh? Well, i have them and i am very impressed with them. I will be getting the rears when my stock rears go out.
