Ditto on checking Tirerack. I had Michelin A/S for my last set and they were very good but expensive. This time I went with the Avon Tech 550 A/S. Don't have a lot of miles on them yet but so far I like them and they are at least $30-$50 less per tire in 17". I don't know if performance and long lasting necessarily go together. If you get 25k out of a set of performance tires you are lucky.

ditto i would really not recommend that. go cheap on other things. not tires. a set of good tires vs. bad tires can be the difference between life and death especially at high speed sports car driving...

Eagle F1's mean business. If you can afford an extra $100 over the Toyo's. I say go for it. Eagle F1's are outstanding. But the Toyo's are already at my $ limit. IMO, they are both my two favorite tires, for my kind of driving.

The BFG G-Force's have great performance for the money, but I don't think I could tolerate the loudness in an otherwise deficiently sound deadened "luxury line" vechile. lol... I've heard even dynomatted vehicle still are loud with these tires.

I have Michelin on my 18' but they only last like 16K, currently, I have Yokohoma ES100, it's going to be pretty close, around 16k but they are about $100 cheaper than my previous Michelin. I heard a lot about the BF-KDW2 tires, are they any good?

HAHA "fire"-tread. I second that! I'm on my second set of KDWs.

I am trying to find Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for the 19" OEM wheels.

So far I am not having any luck. Anybody seen these?
