Need advice on Work VS-XX wheels for a 06 sedan

IP 5at 06 G35 Sedan.

Looking to swap out my stock rims/tires for work vs-xx rims.

I want to get 19's and want to know if these sizes will fit (i dontwant to roll fenders or anything), just drop the rims in:

19x8.0 or
19 x 18.5
for all 4 tires

Thing is i dont have a clue on what offset to get. The specs are here for the 19" Deep rim

http://www.work-wheels.co.jp/wheels/...s-xx/vs-xx.pdf

any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!

if you want 19x8.5 all around then go with +35-40 and you wont have any rubbing issues even if you plan on lowering the car later on.

the 19x8.5 +42 on the deep rim list will work fine on a sedan.

Definitely post some pictures if you get them. I dont think i've seen VSXX on a sedan yet. And you've got the best color G so they should look even better. what color did you want the wheels in?

well a dealer got back to me quick.

he had alook over at the work catalogue and said that the g35 is a staggered setup:

19x8.5 in the front
19 x 9.5 in the rear with +29 offset (for standard cars).

Would you say this will fit?

or am i safe to go 19x8.5 all round?

thanks

the g35 coupe is a staggered setup and the +29 would work on that. However from the factory the sedan isnt staggered. You can go staggered on the sedan but you need a higher offset. If you were to go with 19x9.5 in the rear the offsets needs to be between +40-48.

So according to the list you provided, you can go with both the 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear on the deep rim list with a +42mm offset front and back.

im being quoted US$4.5 k with tires and shipping... hmm have to rethink alot.

if u dont mind me asking, how do u like them 5zigen rims? they r the closest i can find to the works vs-xx and not rape my wallet.

i can prob get the hyper black and get them painted bronze or gold..

i love em, much cheaper than works or volks and they still look great. I was thinking about powdercoating them gold for a while but as of now, i'm keeping em hyper silver.

thanks for the info man.

im getting a quote for 5zigen as well. i will probably get the silver and powercoat them gold. Is powder coating the best procedure?

And another q:

19x8.5 +38
19x9.5 +45

Why didn't you get +45 all around?

You can powdercoat them or paint them, powdercoating isnt going to cost as much because its not as labor intensive. I didnt go 45 all around because a 45 offset on the rear is flush with the fender and 38 is almost flush, a 45 offset in front would make the wheel look like it was sunkin into the wheel well. With a +38/+45 everything looks even.

ive decided regardless of cost - VS-XX gold it is.

just to confirm - will

20x8.5 +38 front
20x9.5 +45 rear

fit on my 06 sedan without rolling anything or should i go 19?

those will fit perfectly, but you're probably going to have to roll your fenders in the rear just to be safe. Even with 19's you'll have to roll the fenders.
