Re: Camber Kits

Yes that's correct, my over simplified diagram does not show the caster changes. Also, it's not the *exact* way how our suspension is set-up either, but you got the idea.

Nice find. What that guy did was innovative or ballsy.

I'm hoping the KMAC bushing will do that. I've already been quoted $160 for the toe only bushing and extracting tool. I'm just waiting for a response from KMac on which bushing their toe adjuster replaces.

Re: Camber Kits

my method shown here works for fixing toe.

http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.p...threadid=50072

some are skeptical of the small locating pin. No problem as the main bolt is held in place mostly by clamping force and very little shear stress is on the pin.

I was able to get my camber back to 1.5 degrees and I'm dropped 2".

Re: Camber Kits

What's your final 'Toe' at -1.5* camber?

Re: Camber Kits

my rear toe is .04 as per Nissan specs when my camber is at -1.5 and the car is dropped about 2"

I have replaced the locating pins with 8-32 stainless bolts instead of the 4-40's. I've driven the car pretty hard for about 200 miles and they show no signs of wear. This is the perfect mod to get your toe back if your dropped.

Re: Camber Kits

hey THX... your traction bar theory is wrong. The traction bar does not adjust toe... it only changes caster. Your diagram showing the attachment point of the traction bar is wrong.

The traction bar attaches to the rear spindle right at the angle of inclination... meaning it's attachment point is in line with the imaginary line drawn between the top ball joint and the lower arm attach point.

LSD or any other brand of traction rod is for adjusting the caster only. I personally have adjusted the traction rod through it's full range of adjustment and witnessed that no toe change was made.... none...

That's why JIC sells a "toe-rod" for use with thier coil over setup. Their toe rod replaces the stock lower rod (the one the spring goes into). This is why in order to use the JIC toe rod you must have a coil over suspension (since the rear coils aren't set into the lower rod anymore)

I'm not intending to be a dick but I just want to make sure no one else is mis-informed and buys traction rods thinking it will adjust toe.
