Steel Wheels?

No, not the Rolling Stones CD.

Has anyone here bought plain old steel wheels for mounting snow tires on a 6MT Coupe? And can you share the size (including offset) or application (i.e., you found that the wheels from a 96 maxima worked perfectly, or not).

Basically, I'd like to get 17x7 steel wheels to mount 215/55-17 fr and 225/55-17 rr Blizzak WS50s.

Feedback from anybody who's fitted steel wheels to their 6MT coupe is appreciated.

And yes, before you tell me - it'll look awful and I'm cheap!

Call up TireRack.com. I believe they can tell you what size fits, and even mount some snow tires on a set and ship them to you.

Nope, I haven't figured it out yet. I'm in the mid-atlantic - Maryland - and I still have some time before snow/ice is a probability (whoa, is that tempting fate, or what?).

Re: Steel Wheels?

When I was shopping last winter for 17" wheels for my Coupe, I couldn't find any and had to go for the more expensive cast wheels.
Unless they've come on the market for this winter, I doubt you'll find any, but hey if you do let us know.
