Tein or H & R drop springs?
Tein or H & R drop springs?
Looking for about a 1.5" drop keeping my stock 6MT wheels. Either brand better or worse than the other?
Not going to performance, just the look, but I'd prefer to keep the ride as close to stock as possible with this type of spring.

Re: Tein or H & R drop springs?
I have H&R's on my wife's Beetle. They feel a bit stiffer, but that could be from the Tokico struts aswell. Overall the ride isn't bad though. Like you, I haven't decided on what springs to get for my G. I know I can get Eibachs for around $186.00 from Adventon.com, but I do like the H&R's and price should not be that much of a deal when it comes to the G ride.

I used H&R in my last car(MX-6...RIP). I think pricewise if they are slightly more...they and the G are worth it. H&R compared to Eibach ...they are both good but I give the performance edge to H&R which makes the investment worth it in the end. I like H&R's German engineering and quality control which gives an added sense of security I guess.

Yes, I think you're right as far as heritage goes but I liked H&R for the ride in my Mazda MX-6 and was sold. For comparison...check out the links
