They appear undersized to me. Too narrow and not low profile enough. I think the new Maximas have a sweeter set-up. Now that's pathetic.

The ss wheels are beautiful, and I'm anxious to see how the car will look with the "right" tires, which, IMO, must be wider (245s?) and lower in profile (40? 35?).

Just hoping that someone who's gone before me has pics..

I'm prob not a great evaluator of tires, plus I've only got maybe 75mi's on them. My problem is I've never had a new set that felt as crisp as the tires they just pulled off the car. The fact the old tires were practically slicks with no tread means there is very little rubber tread to wallow around on, they felt sharp and light. A new tire will have 5-8lbs more rubber tread on them. So to me, the car always feels better with the old tires vs new tires...except in the rain of course.

The only other tires i've had on this car were the OEM Goodyear NCT-5's which i thought were pretty good. These Dunlops seem OK, I got them at Discount Tire for around 145/ea. They're prob similar to the Kumho's or other discount brands, not as good as the premium stuff. Although I think they look very good, nice aggressive shoulder design..not as busy as my friend's Kumho's.

I also would like to see a sedan with 245-40-18 on the sport wheels. I am looking for a summer tire to place on these rims that I just bought off another member. I am looking for the right look without lowering the car.

FYI, Discount Tire said they would put both a 245/45 and a 245/40 on the car to help me decide. If you really want to see how it looks on your car - that's the only way to know for sure.
