18" OEM rim tire size (yes, I searched 1st)

I have an '04 coupe with the stock 18" rims. I want to get a specific tire that only comes in 245/40/18 (which I would put in front) and 255/45/18 (rear). I found a thread where someone said this would be ok. Will this affect stagger, VDC, tire wear, etc. Any drawbacks to doing this? Anyone actually do it?

I just ordered a set of the stock 18'ers for my sedan, and just ordered 245/45/18 for the front and rear.

Tirerack.com has a max-performance Dunlop tire on sale for like $121 in that size, then a 100$ mail in rebate. If you want another $10 off EACH tire, get a premier membership and see the coupon code I posted in the premier-member section.

I ordered yesterday, and when it's all said and done, the coast will be $401 shipped to my door....

you do know that stock is 225/45 in the front right? it's 1/2" skinnier rim than the rear that runs a 245/45

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Anyone actually have either the set up I propose or the set up mentioned above? Also, a reminder, I have a coupe.

vdc works fine.....whenever i feel like being restricted by infiniti's laws and leave it on (which is almost never).
