20" wheel

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a 20" wheel. But I'm not sure on which wheel brand to buy. Any of you guys have any suggestions? It would be really helpful.

Thanks

There are so many choices out there. Tell us your budget, really depends on how much you want to spend. The strong and light weight forged wheels are usually quite expensive.

GSCoupe: my budget is about $4000. Is there any brand that you can suggest?

Re: 20" wheel

If $4000 is your budget just for the wheels alone, you could go with a set of high end custom forged wheels like iforged or HRE wheels. I suggest taking a look at these sites:

www.iforged.com
www.hrewheels.com
or
www.wheelexperts.com ,
contact them and get some price quotes.

Why you so set on 20" wheels? I mean yah they look nice, but IMO they take away from performance so much, i mean if your all just for looks and cosmetics go for it, haha but 20" is very heavy and all those speedbumps or potholes will be ur worst nightmare. Dont fall into the trend of BIG HUGE TACKY CHROME wheels... save some money get 19 or 18s haha and with the left over money get a CAI or some sway bars or eat a couple of steaks but thats all IMO...

if i were to get 20" i say look at the HRE's

Re: 20" wheel

20" wheels look the best on the G. This subject has been beaten to death. All this rice-boy nonsense about the G being slow with 20" is just hokus pokus. And what is wrong with chrome if they look nice? HRE's are nice but will run more than $4000 unless you have a great connection.

Re: 20" wheel

20's all the way. I have them on mine and haven't noticed any issues at all, unless you consider having a lot of people hanging out of the car windows to tell me how sick they look, a problem. Honestly I have never gotten so much attention from any car with aftermarket rims than I have with the G. I put my stock rims on and I hardly get any comments, maybe a few stares from people who haven't seen a G35 yet, but that's it.

As Nike would say "Just Do It"

Let the flames begin!!!

SammyJL: "True Dat"

You can always put a bunch of stickers on the G to make up for lost speed as well.

Go big or go home! 20's all the way!

I love my 20" rims. Love them, love them, love them. I get more of the "bling bling", comments.

I am on my 2nd set of 20's... I wouldn't do it any other way. I started w/ I-Forged Aero's & now expecting shipment of Maido Gr-5's chrome. Do it right the first time. Go w/ 20's!

mattycNJ: Did you not like the I-Forged wheels, or just wanted a change?

I already want to upgrade my 20's as well. I'm thinking it's time for a new look.

Re: 20" wheel

Why 20"? How 'bout a lift kit and 36"'s??? Jus' kidding. Man, don't worry about all the bling bling comments, etc.... Do what you want with YOUR car. Life's too f^cking short to worry about other people's opinions.

Re: 20" wheel

To be honest I wasn't happy w/ polished wheels. I am a person who loves chrome, plus I enjoy changing the look of the car. Chrome is the way to go in my eyes, and most to do agree 20's is the way to go
