RE- Offseting wheels
Is it possible to have the offset on wheels changed? Say you have a 30 offset wheel and you wanted to have it machined to a 38 offset.

If what you mentioned were offered, I would have to believe that it would come at a very high cost. Thus, making it terribly impractical.

From the little bit of research I have done, most say 3mm is the most any wheel machine shop will take off without sacrificing any wheel integrity. Which is quite a bit in theory. Take for example, the z track wheel of a 8.5" width with 33mm in the rear that I'm running. If it were machined 3mm's to make it 36mm, a tire size of 255/40 could be used without any rubbing, instead of the 235/45 I used now now and could probably run a 245/40, but take the risk of rubbing.

You can run a 245/40 as it stands without any tire rubbing with about 2-3mm of clearance with some negative camber. Now if you move the wheel in another 3mm's, you should be able to to get a 255/40 under there. 255 is 10mm wider obviously... 5mm stick out further and 5mm closer to the suspension. A slight fender roll maybe in order, maybe not. Just throwing some options out there.
If your fenders aren't rolled yet, that is definetly the first and safest step to clear larger tires. A good fender roll can get you 7-8mm of clearance by itself, and not machining of the wheels would be necessary
