Rim Touch Up Paint

Just picked up an 05 Red Coupe. There was some minor rash on one of the wheels that bugs me. Touch up paint for the body is easy to source, but anyone have any good contacts for touch up paint on wheels. I am running the "hyper silver" OEM 19's

For rash, you may have to have them repaired. Most Infiniti dealers have guys that repair the rims. Price varies from dealer to dealer.

$100 isn't bad...they should give a discount if you have more than 1 wheel though.

There is no touchup paint, and most wheel repair places can't even color match correctly because the paint isn't available in the US. Its a black basecoat with a translucent clear which almost impossible to match

From repaired wheels I have seen with "hyper" colors they do look great, but they often are not a perfect match with OE. My rash is so minor that a simply two part touch would work fine. A little 320 then maybe 600 grit. Follow with a two stage touch up, wet sand and polish. I guess I will live with it, because I don't want to have the wheel refinished completely. Hmmm. . . maybe I will just have to explain to the wife that I need some new wheels. Yeah thats it.

OEM 19" wheel repair

Just got my wheels touched up.

Dealer did damage and their vendor came out to my work and did the repair.

www.repairmywheels.com

Company is Velvet Touch. Ask for Mike. He did a good job color matching and applying clear coat. Anyone else . . . I would just ask for Mike.

He did a good job. Not perfect, but very good. Match to OEM is extremely difficult due to 3 step paint process.
