Will this mix throw off my VDC

I have 19 inch oems and need to change the front. Thinking about putting the Toyo T1Rs in front and have OEM bridgestones in rear. I'm hoping the Toyos will provide more comfort and last longer. I see that the tread patterns seem significantly different, but they are both summer performance tires. Will this throw off the VDC? Anyone using this set up? Any other recommendations are welcome.

nothing should throw off your vdc unless you have a different size on on side or the other of your car.

It could. If the tires have different handling characteristics they may start to slip at different times and the level of grip may not be the same. VDC will recognize this. You will also feel the difference if that is the case. Hi-PO Tires are just that Hi-Performace, and should be treated as such. The four tires in a set should be the same brand and model.

Well I do see some people running mixed sets without problems and some with problems. I guess if the tread pattern is drastically different then it would be prone to throwing VDC. I really don't like the ride and treadware (for the price) of the bridgestones so I'll look into something with similar treads but better overall. Thanks for the help.
