What the heck is that bolt on the front hub :-(

I finally got my set of winter wheels and tires and decided to install them on RED 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT with 18" & Brembro
235/50VR-17 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 on 17x8 Mille Miglia Action in the rear, no problems they look great.
225/50VR-17 LM-22 on 17x8 Mille Miglia for the front.....Wait...What the #$%%^ they don't fit...I finally notice a bolt that sticks out of the hub. Infiniti has even welded a nut to the bolt as if to fix an "oops" and extended the length. According to tirerack.com these wheels should fit.
Can anyone tell me what the hell is that bolt on the front.
I went to a few local garages to get them to grind it down a smigen so that the wheels can fit. They don't know what the bolt is, so they refuse to touch it.
So now I am driving around with 17" winter tires on rear and 18" summer on the front.
Help before I beat the bolt...
