I dont know if TSW is going to do anything for you to be honest. They could easily claim that the chroming affected it and contributed towards the damage.
Atleast the wheels are cheap to replace...

I'm sorry to hear about your rim and I'm glad no one was hurt/injured, but the reality of the situation is you are just out. Most manufacturers will warranty the product if you are the original purchaser. When you A) buy something second hand or used or B) alter the product in any way (such as chroming the rim) you have basically absolved them of any responsibility. You can't prove that the previous owner didn't damage the rim nor can you prove that the chroming process didn't damage the rim. Sorry to say it, but basically you're just out. That's why I'm always extra careful buying used anything.

TSW customer service sucks. I bent a Hochenheim R on my SE-R a couple of years ago. Don't have any local dealers and the mail order place wouldn't help. Ended up contacting TSW direct, and was basically told sorry, nothing we can do. I explained that I wasn't looking for warranty, I just needed to find some where to buy a replacement. Ended up with them telling me good luck with the search. Would never buy a TSW again.
Chroming wheels has all kind of strange affects on metals. That is why you don't want to plate springs, swaybars etc.
