Those with Chrome factory wheels...did you get them that way from the dealer(dealer added option). I know 'mooser' had his already chromed by the dealer. I'd like to have my factory wheels chrome...where is a good place here locally in so.cal?

 

You can get them done at a lot of places. But just make sure they do a good job chroming them. You know the whole 9 yards, the triple plated nickel chrome. But it'll run you several hundred dollars, maybe from $500 to $1000 depending on where you go and the quality of it.

The dealer wanted $1800 for chrome. You can save $800-1000 by getting them done yourself. Many chrome places have an exchange program (chrome for your original wheels).

Costa Mesa wanted $1600 for the chrome 17's. I was able to get them to take $200 off for giving them my original gunmetals back, thus $1400. If it's true that it'll run you that much anyway, call some dealers and see what it would cost, with your exchange, for the same design. It may be worth spending another couple of hundred, or so, for the convenience.
