20 inch rims

To anybody who has 20 inch rims on there Coupe. How do you like the way the car rides. Have you had any problems w/ performance at all? And how does the car handle with turns?
I want to go with 20's but trying to get some feedback incase i need to stay w/ 18's

Re: 20 inch rims

I would like some info as well. There is a lot of arguing about 20s being too heavy and slowing a car down, but does anyone have any real numbers? Did any of you guys with 20s run the 1/4 mile before and now after the upgrade? Did it slow you down any?

No matter what type of rims or size you get, your ride will never feel the same as when you had your stock rims, The car is a little bit slower but the car isn't slow at all, still fast as F%@k. Before my G with its stock rims would take sharp turns easily going 45 but with my rims right now its impossible, so the handling is worse, but having 20s is still worth it .... You only live once, spoil yourself

Bigsmasher,
How does your G now take turns? Do you take turns and curves slower because you feel the car breaking away?

Thanks,

Re: 20 inch rims

I thought if I had wide tires in the back my handling would be better so I got 285 in the back but for example if I try to make a sharp turn my slip signal would usually go on or if I gas the car while turning my wheel to one side then I'll fish tail, basically you can't drive that crazy with 20's, you have to be careful of dips and holes on the road unless you get big profile tires, but your car would look raised and your rims would look smaller
