Triple checking RIM size
Triple checking RIM size
Hi guys, just wanted to get a confirmation!!
I found a set of rims I want to get but wanted to swing it by you guys first.
They are 18x8, off set of +38 or +45, and 5/114.3 bolt pattern.
Would these fit on my 03 G35 sedan fine?
Thanks!!!

Cool!! But I don't really get it.. -_- my apologizes..
Would you recommend +45 or +38 in terms of looks? and I want to minimiza possible complications..

+38 will look better and yea, the bolt pattern is good. Be sure you get hubcentric rings also.

Go for the +38, it'll almost line up with the fenders.

If I used that chart my wheels would not fit on my car.

Then what good is it?
Where is the car when this chart is valid? On a lift? The car comes with negative camber from the factory.
You have to have some sort of standard measurement though. The chart is a quick reference guide that shows a snapshot of the widths at 0 camber. How you shift the bars on the chart depends on each particular setup (drop height, camber, etc).
You're right though, this chart is limiting in the sense that it lacks complete information. It'd be nice to have a more detailed guide that takes into consideration the different setups.

bert039, what values exactly are inaccurate? Pretty much all of them. From my own experience:
FRONT: 8.5" +38, it's still a few mm from the fender line, chart says it will stick out.
REAR: 9.5" +45, the rim pretty much lines up with the fender, chart says it will stick out almost 1/2".
My car isn't lowered, the suspension is completely stock and I have those results.
