20'' staggered pentas - which tires to get?

i have no idea what size tires i should get, im pretty darn sure im going to be going with the staggered 20' axis pentas (20x10/20x9) but dont know squat about tires.
*edit* please be sure to view the 4th post down also, thanks

what size tires should i get if i also want to drop my car just *slightly* (nothing extreme, dont want to go sideways over speedbumps) and obviously i dont want any rubbing and preferably dont want to have to roll my fenders..

right now i have a quote of 1385 for the rims, shipped and everything. and a shop told me that they can pricematch and beat the price, but that if i get a package deal they can save me even more money since they are mainly a tire shop ("america tires" or something).

so im looking for a quote for tires, and i will add that to my 1385 quote on the rims, and bring that to him and see what he can do for me.

tires dont need to be top top quality, not planning on tracking my car or driving insane. doesnt snow where i live so dont need tires for that, just looking for basic rubber to get me rollin.

also if anyone knows of a website or store where u can get staggered 20' pentas for under 1385 SHIPPED to 95118, please let me know! most websites i found u couldnt buy wheels individualy so i couldnt get a quote on them staggered, but only 4 20x10's which i dont want.

website i found them for this price at:
www.performanceplustire.com

also, would it look much worse if i did all 20x10?

This has been discussed a bunch of times if you do a search for it.
But briefly, the best tire sizes for your setup is:

245/35/20 for Front
275/30/20 for Rear

If you want to go a bit meatier in the rears, you can go
275/35/20 or even 285/30/20...it's up to the look you want.

I would NOT go 20x10 all around...not only would you rub like crazy in the front, but it would look very off/goofy.

thanks a bunch, quick question though

you said 20x10 front would rub, im assuming ur implying that 20x9 wouldnt.

so does that mean the 20x9's will be tucked inside the fender? and will i have to roll the fenders?

or will they just not rub because of the tire size

using your tire size i came up with:

(2) 20x10 Axis Pentas- $676 (338 each)
(2) 20x9 Axis Pentas- $612 (306 each)
(2) Yokohama AVS ES100 (275/30/20) $330 (165 each)
(2) Nexen Radial N3000 (245/35/20) $280 (140 each)
Shipping to 95118 $118

TOTAL: $2,016.00

does this sound like a good deal?

are the selected tires ok? i tried picking 2 sets that have similar tread/sidewall patterns.

anything you would change?

I wouldnt want mismatched tires really, but that is a good price.

If you want low profile tires get 275/30s but like others have said it all depends, and I've even seen 295 tires on a couple member cars here, but I dont know if those will fit a 10 inch wide wheel. People seem to really enjoy toyo t1r tires

Why do you need 8 tires??!? You said $2016 total, but for 8 tires

Ok here it is

get Falken FK 452
245/35/20 and 275/30/20

(IMO these are better than Toyo T1R)

E-mail eric@supremepowerparts.com and tell him that Sam(TRDCelicaGT03@aol.com) sent you for a good deal on these tires. He will hook you up!! And I recommend these out of all the tires that you listed up there, they are light, sticky(will handle great) and durable!

PM me for more info or if you want me to refer you just give me your name and e-mail.

E-mail him and tell him I sent you to get a better price, I'm not him so I don't know what he will charge, but I can tell you that for all 4 tires it's going to be roughly $758 (that's what I paid)

And trust me these tires are well worth that money (don't mix tire brands, not good)

Plus FYI Those Yokohama ES100s SUCK BAD!!! They are LOUD, and handle like sh*t
