People here act like if you spend more on your rims then they aren't going to break. Every one says you get what you pay for, but than in the same post somebody states you can't use iForged rims in SCCA events because they fall apart. Last time I checked iForged weren't cheap wheels.
Over on my350z I found just as many pictures and stories of cracked and bent volks as I did rotas. I did plenty of research before buying these rims and for the price these are great rims.
I got some Luff M1's, I'm happy with the look of my wheels. Not to many people have them, unlike volks, everyone and their mothers have the. I almost bought some tho, but decide to get the Luff's and my HKS exhaust.
No one has ever said, that my car is weak because I ride on luff's. and if the Rota's hold up, I'd get them as track wheels.

Are they multi piece? Forged? What material are they made out of?
Unless you know the answers to those questions then I don't recommend that you do free advertising for them and say they are "excellent quality".
I know about ROTA and their quality, they use molten aluminum for casting their wheels.
IMO Rota = Bad quality wheel

)One of my friend's I-forged rims cracked last weekend; I felt bad for him because he paid a ****-load for it, heh. (he doesn't track them, he was just driving on the expressway, heard a weird noise, stopped the car immediately was and was like

Only people who do not have any experience with said rim/manufacturer, aside from something they read on the internet, counts

What is the cost difference in el cheapo vs. a quality tire?
Volks are so popular because of the outstanding quality + good looks vs. relatively low cost. They don't look as good as some of the Work rims, but are like 1/2 the cost.
I paid 2950 shipped for a set of 19x8.5, 19x9.5 Volk GT-7's merc silver with Toyo Proxies mounted(tires would cost me $850 installed anyway) so 2100 for the rims. No tax either as it was shipped from out of state.
Cheapo rims in that size are at least $1000-1100 and would have cracked for certain on a couple potholes I hit(only bent the rim a bit with the Volks).
So I'm pretty certain that you are not saving anything by getting the cheapos.
Maybe you should shop around a bit and find less expensive prices on the nicer rims. Like I said, Volks are good quality for the price.

dude i spent $2200 on some 20" privat netz (which arent the best wheels) wraped in toyos T1's. First of all the looks dont stop, everybody i come by compliments the wheels not to mention i have girls waving me to pull over to talk to me lol. but besides the point you dont need no damn iforged or ashantis or the other 4000+ wheels in the market. all you need is some Taste and some good tires that can hold up the pot holes we miss every now and then. i keep my cars for 3-4 years max am not spending 4000 on wheels. unless am rockin a benz or something then u gotta step up wheel game. just my 2cents
Volks are good budget high end rims...the GT series have a forged hoop, but a cast center, thats why they are cheaper than most of the other multi piece forged wheels out there. I think all that really matters is picking wheels that look good on the car...you could spend $4K on some ugly wheels and no one would care if they were three piece 100% forged wheels, they still be ugly wheels.

i mean to each his own, of course the brand named rims are going to give you waayyy better quality and of course lighter, in some cases. but if you can find a cheap rim that would look sick on a G then do it. on the other hand, i bought a 35-40k car so im not going to throw 400$ rims on it... imo
Look into Racing Hart if you want some high quality wheels that are priced slightly cheaper than your run of the mill Volk or Work wheels.
They make a lot of butt ugly designs but I have the RH R5 Pro 3-piece wheels and they look absolutely amazing on OB and IP coupes, and from what I hear the quality of Racing Hart is every bit as good as the slightly more expensive brands. These wheels haven't failed on me yet and I live in pot hole central Maryland.
Although I'm not sure if these qualify as cheap wheels because a new set plus tires is still gonna cost you well over $3k.
Good luck.

There are some really nice wheels out there for the G. But I just can't bring myself to pay $3500-4500 for a set of wheels. If I was doing serious autoX or track work, yeah.... Graham lites or the like would be the way to go.
At least with the G, the wheels won't be worth more than the car. I see that a lot down here in South Texas.

Any and all rims can bend and crack. Buying higher quality (forged) rims just lowers the chances that it will happen given that all other factors (tire and road conditions) remain equal. So yes, a 19" Volk with XX tires will have better chances on surviving the same pothole than a 19" Rota with XX tires on it.
As far as looks go, sure they'res lots of knockoffs that look great. But there is a reason why "everyone and their mother" has volks. Great quality, Great style, at a fairly decent price.
Also understand that I'm not saying price = quality, as someone mentioned above something about Iforged falling apart. They'res a lot of expensive crap out there, and no matter how much or little you pay for it, its still crap. Again, another reason why "everyone and their mother" has volks.

i bought my sterns for $1000 because of looks right after i got the car. if i knew what i did then, i might have gotten nicer wheels. however, they've held up 2.5 years with no major problems and i saved $ curbing these up instead of more expensive wheels. as long as you aren't buying crap wheels, go with what you want and can afford.

What do you think about this company?? They started out in Australia in 1957 and are well known there. They offer a Lifetime Structural Warranty and Five Year Warranty on the Finish. To me that says alot, they maybe cheaper than most, but their are not total crap.
