Volk GT-7 Replica wheels

Anyone seen or heard anything about these? I spotted these on a civic earlier today.

Damn... I woudn't trust those. The quality controll of the Volks vs. these wheels are light-years apart. A few things are wrong with them (besides them being fake)...

1. If you look closely, you'll notice that the wheels aren't even 2-piece like the real GT-7s.

2. The valve stem is in the wrong location. The Volk GT-7 valve stem goes thru one of the spokes not thru the rim.

3. The center isn't even bare aluminum.

I never even considered the possibility of getting these wheels for myself... it's obvious the quality is nowhere even close to the real deal. I just thought it was interesting since I have not seen many Volk replicas around. From far away, it does look pretty similar though, which is what caught my eye.

FWIW, I was never a person to spend much money on vanity type items. However, I decided to splurge on some nice rims for my G Coupe. After considering Work rims....that are oh so nice....I decided that it wasn't worth the cost for me, and that they were likely to get stolen(I live in a not so great area). So I looked into Volks and found a place in Florida that had sets of 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 Volk GT7 merc silver with Toyo Proxies mounted shipped for $2950(no tax). Since the tires would cost me $850 mounted & balanced anyway, I decided that $2100 was not a bad price for the rims.

And I couldn't be happier. The look is incredible and people complement the rims all the time. Also the handling is improved with the wider wheelbase(my coupe is 2003 and came with OEM 17"). Also the rims have held up through some really rough driving and lots of potholes.

Volk makes some real quality stuff....that knockoff just looks horrible, and I'm certain its not a good idea to put those on a G35.
