Tire pressure monitoring system & upgrading wheels
If you have the stock tire pressure monitoring system (04' G35)can you upgrade your wheels to 19' and not set off the tire pressure alarm? If so, is there a way to disconnect this feature so the tire pressure warning will not be activated?

Re: Tire pressure monitoring system & upgrading wheels
From what I understand the tire pressure monitor works with each other. If you take one out all the rest will not work. So it will be all or nothing the tire warning in the dash won't go on if this is done. This is what I was told because I was already thinking of that before getting my rims.

Re: Tire pressure monitoring system & upgrading wheels
Yup just as Glenn said for the most part.
I've been test running my track wheel/tire setup for a good month now. The system still does do a periodic diagnostics on the 'missing' sensors every so often and activates the pressure 'warning' light on the instrument cluster. The warning light is very discreet, however, and the annoying 'alarm' never sounds. Many times, I was not aware of this warning light for days ... so no big deal. Take it as a friendly reminder that the car is not monitoring your pressure.
