Anyone have 350z track wheels on a g35c?
I'm looking to replace my oem wheels with some 350z track wheels. The rear track wheels only weigh 18 pounds roughly so I'll drop about 6 pounds per wheel. I'm going to run wider tires that stock, about a 265 in the rear. Anyone else put these on the G, notice a decent difference?
I'm also going to paint half the lips red like the black and red volks. A guy did it on my350z and it looks great...not tacky.

I've been running 350z track rims for the past 2 years on my coupe. They're not very flashy, but they're a 100% fit and I haven't had any problems due to the rims.
I'm also running 265/40/18 Michelin PS2s in the rear. I need to get wider fronts, but my fronts still have plenty of tread on them. I tend to understeer with daily driving, but I was oversteering last time at an autocross.

Nice pic, take a look at what a guy had done on my350z.com. Cost a little bit but they look good.

Did you notice the car being a little quicker with the lighter wheels. I have been interested in tire weights recently

Yeah, I saw those pics back when I was thinking of getting those rims. I didn't have the downtime required to send the wheels off to get powdercoated, but those track rims can look very nice for a good price.
Car definitely felt quicker when I replaced the rears. Didn't notice much when I added the fronts. I forget why I couldn't put all 4 on at once. But the rear rim is about 7 lbs lighter than stock.
The Michelin Pilot Sports are also lighter than the Potenzas given same size.

yeah the new track wheels are really nice...I saw a set go for 1800 on my350z.com! they are light, but whats wierd is 18x9 up front and 19x10 rear. nice wheels though, kinda too "bubbly" for the g though

I just put a set of 07 track wheels on my 07 coupe 5at, 245/40/18 up front and 265/35/19 in rear. speedo error is only .6 MPH low at 60 MPH according to tire size calculator. the look is very good, ride is just slightly stiffer than stock 18's. Grip is much improved as well. BTW running Potenza RE 050A's
