May be a dumb question...

Within the first week I got my car, I got a nail in my tire. I was gonna go get it removed and get my tire patched the next day, but the next day turned into never. lol. Now it's 6 months later, and my tire pressure light turned on. (obviously that tire was low on air)

So today, I went to go give it some more air, and looked on the stock tire for the suggested PSI. Here's where I got confused. On one side of the tire it says do not exceed 40 PSI and the other side of the same tire it says do not exceed 50 PSI. SO I'm confused, Which should I do? I filled to 39 PSI because I wasn't sure. Note: I have stock rims and tires. Thanks! (Oh by the way, I did a search, but couldnt find anything on this specific problem) oh and yes, I'm gonna go get my tire patched ASAP.

Sticker inside drivers door on jam. Recommends 35/35 cold.

you left the nail in the tire for 6 months?

for 19 inch OEM tires, I put 36 psi.

The last time I got nail, I fill up the air about 43 psi and light still on. I think you need to switch off the sensor or something. You need to take it in and fix it.

I am not trying to hi-jack the post but.....

My tire light is on when i go on interstate and drive for like 2 hours. Does that mean that i got nailed in my tire too? When i brought my car 3 months ago, the light is already on, then i brought it to the dealership and they did something and the light go off, like 2 hour later, it came back on. whenever i am driving on the interstate or drove over 2 hours, the light will come on.... Would it be a nail?

my light came on, but once I filled it to 39/40 PSI, I drove for about 2 minutes and the light turned off... Right after work today I'm gonna go to get fixed.

the only thing I can think of is the light is probably on because you're losing air it doesn't necessarily mean that you have a nail, but something is causing you to lose pressure... check ur pressure. if not then ur sensor is prolly messed up. good luck!
