Need new sneakers

Coming up to a new set of tires and was wondering what people arerunning on there stock 17's, what the payed, like or don't like and type of wear they have had. At 40k per year I am looking for something cost effective that will last 40k be quiet and still perform. Let me know your thoughts, Thanks

Yokohama YK520's are decent performing tires and will last a while. We put a set on my GF's Mazda 3 5D and she has been happy with them.

I'm running a set of Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 on my 17" stockies. Although I've only put in 7,600 miles, these tires have excellent tread pattern, treadwear, are very quiet and smooth, good traction in rainy conditions, and have the easy feel-the-road factor.

EDIT: I bought my tires from Discount Tire, a nationwide tire retail chain. They're known to be one of the most competitive price-wise in the industry, and are absolutely fantastic from my experience in terms of tire selection and customer service.
