Bent!!!!!!!

So I'm driving down the freeway tonight following a Santa Fe doing about 75 and all the sudden out form underneath it comes a 2x4 . It musta saw it coming and straddled it. So I hit it with my front drivers side tire. I didn't have time to swerve outa the way since I didn't see it coming. I kept watching the dash for the TPMS light and sure enough about 1.5 miles later there it was. So now Ive got the dang donut on. I'm gonna call a place tomorrow and see if they can fix it and I have road hazard on the tire because the side wall got cut in half. If not I guess I could turn it into my insurance but I would rather not pay the $100 deductible and have a claim . Hopefully it wont be much more then $100 to fix it if they can. Anyone had any experience with something like this?

dang! i feel you man. i would think that you'd be able to go over a 2x4 w/out bending it like that. i think i should check my rims now. i've gone over plenty of stuff, and into plenty of ditches and potholes to not be worried too.

back in about november i hit a 2x4 all the way across the state (daytona). got it fixed back here in tampa. it was on the inside of the rim tho. they usually have to heat it and will prob have to repaint that part of your rim since its on the outside. after i got that fixed, went on another road trip and got within 1.5hrs of being home and the TPMS went off again. this time it was the rear wheel, from the same incident. cost me $100 each.

don't drive in montreal, i worry about even the stock rims on the roads around here,

tire should be covered under roadhazards, depending where you got it, rim, well, not sure if insurance will cover it,

best of luck

Well I dropped my rim off yesterday to get fixed and the guy told me 135.50 to fix it and it may be a slight bit discolored becasue of the anodized finish on them. So well see what they look like in a day or two.
